LPDDR5X 7500 Memory

The AMD Ryzen™ Z1 Extreme’s onboard GPU share its pool of ultra-fast 7500MHz LDDDR5X RAM with the rest of the system, so we’ve increased the total capacity from 16GB to 24GB on the Ally X, letting you crank all the texture settings without worrying about sacrificing any RAM.

Game on the go

The ROG Ally X is built to play all your favorite games while far away from a power outlet. With that in mind, we upgraded the battery to a massive 80Wh capacity, extending it to a longer battery life. Game on.

The ROG Ally X is designed to let you play anywhere, so it needed a thermal solution to match. It comes equipped with specially designed heatpipes that operate at peak efficiency in any orientation, and a new third exhaust vent to help keep the mainboard and panel cool.

Get a grip

More substantial handgrips with a carefully contoured curvature grace the ROG Ally X. With just a minor height increase of 4.5mm, the grips feel supremely comfortable in your hands without sacrificing nearly any space in your bag.

Effortless Control

The ROG Ally X has also slightly tweaked the locations of the joysticks relative to the D-Pad and face buttons, making it easier for each hand to move between each, while custom-tailored 2° and 14° slants keep the Ally X comfortable in every hand.

Slip-resistant Design

A unique ROG-themed texture features prominently on the rear of the Ally X’s handgrips, adding a touch of flair in addition to rock solid stability in your hands. Confidence and security have never looked this good.

Joystick

Joysticks are your primary input with a controller, so we made sure the ROG Ally X features the perfect mix of comfort and accuracy. These improved sticks are also much more durable, now rated 5 million rotation cycles — twice the 2.5 million of the previous Ally.

Macro Button

Some games have extra functions, which is why we added a macro key on the rear of the chassis. The Ally X features a smaller key than last year, allowing for the same flexibility with less chance of accidental presses.

Directional Buttons

The D-Pad is the unsung hero of a controller, frequently being used to control inventories and perform complex moves. We’ve redesigned the Ally X D-Pad to reduce stickiness when performing circular movements, while still cleanly actuating inputs on the 8-axis wheel.

Lightning Fast. Crystal Clear.

Sporting a 1080p touchscreen panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync™ Premium support, this 17.78 cms (7) display is truly a joy to game on. While common LCD displays generally have a maximum brightness of 200-300 nits, the Ally X cranks it all the way to 500 nits. A higher brightness allows the Ally X to clearly display the action on screen when in challenging brighter environments like the great outdoors without losing access to contrast or 100% of the sRGB color space.

Armoury Crate SE

The ROG Ally X comes out of the box with Armoury Crate Special Edition 1.5 installed. Featuring a redesigned UI with light and dark themes, a highly customizable game library, loads of performance tweaks, and seamless software updates including BIOS and graphics drivers, ACSE is the ultimate tool for customizing your Ally X.

Securely log in to the Ally X with a Windows Hello fingerprint reader on the power button. Windows Defender provides robust security with constantly updated antivirus and malware protection. For younger users, parents can limit app or screen time, see spending summaries, and track their kids’ locations with powerful parental controls.

Immersive Stereo Sound

Dual front-firing Smart Amp speakers with Dolby Atmos pump up the volume without distortion and immersing you directly in your games, while Two-Way AI Noise Cancelation processes both incoming and outgoing audio to filter any errant background noises from your voice chats.
